Just replaced my stock 275's with Firestone Destination A/T 285/75/R-16 today. My tire man asked me what to inflate the tires to and I told him the whatever the recommended pressure the truck indicates. He told me the tires are rated @ 80 psi and anything below that will damage the tires. TRUE? I do 90% road and only use the truck for beach fishing in the summer and snow in the winter. If I pressure down to 20 psi on all tires when I go on the beach it will take me a good amount of time to bring them back to road pressure with my portable pump. What are the best pressures, road; road after beach; beach; snow; mileage? Thanks

What!!!
80 psi is max tire pressure, not recommened psi!
35-40 psi is what you want.
Do not inflate to 80 psi and drive around.
Tell the tire guy to step away from vehicle fast.

I have my BFG ATs at 40PSI for on road use... Had them at 45 PSI and it seemed a little harsh... Could just be in my head though...

I have the same exact tire and size on mine and have them at 38psi on 7" rims instead of 8" since someone replaced them with 4 runner rims sometime before I bought the truck. Rides great.. my Staun Tire Deflators from Slee come on Sept 1st so I can air down to 18psi nice and easy before hitting the beach in a few weeks
