Just got my new exhaust on, picked up my Cruiser last night...ahhh...what a change, nice and quiet, and I swear it has more power, which it probably should, atleast more low-end compared to a open exhaust.
Anyhoo, since it's all nice and new should I paint it? I have a spray can of high temp paint, which I'm considering putting on there. It'll never be easier than now while my slider is off and the exhaust is all clean still. I also thought about getting the POR15 high temp paint, which I can brush on, I would think brushing on would be preferrable to spraying on? I can probably get to all the sides easier with a brush than spraying, I'm not taking it off to paint it.
The tubing is aluminum-ized steel, and we don't have alot of rust around here, but painting it has got to help right?
Also should I paint it black or a more silver color? Will one radiate less heat? I'd think the silver would be better for that...POR has some bright silver color, which might add some bling-bling to the underside..
I'll take a picture tonight or tomorrow, they still have to do the weld-in for one of the O2 sensors, they didn't have the correct bung thingy for it (so I'll get a picture when it's up on the lift, so you can see the whole routing). It looks REALLY good, exactly where I wanted it, perfect bends...I'm impressed. I'll post pics when I have them. Feels good to be able to hear again..
Thanks,
