Did any of you guys see this? --> http://en.autos.sympatico.msn.ca/News/article.aspx?cp-documentid=5567407

Now why can't Toyota get what people are asking, and do the same. I don't really like the new FJ...it's not bad, but sorry it falls way short for me. If this J8 was a Toyota...well you know what I mean...there'd probably be a couple in my driveway!!!

Hello...anyone at Toyota reading this??? If so, call me!!!

Good Luck Dean. Face it, we are not in Toyota's marketing demographic.

it is very sad that Toyota is not getting it in he USA market...scion xb is being marketed to younger gen...but all i see is old people driving it...nissan was making a killing on 4door pick-ups and toyota had one for years just not importing it here...they have been alil off their game if you ask me. Also quality is not quite bthere on the new run of cars and trucks...and what is up with the engine compartment cracks??? Not good if you ask me.

But I still will own one over anything else :)

Toyota has gone leftist/global warming on us. They are into those hybrids now. A good solid front axle 4x4 ain't in the cards.

:frown:Sadly you are correct. Toyota North America has other ideas:rolleyes: and they will not listen to the consumer. Hell they even question "IS quaility important to you when buying a car?":D Thats a direct quote FYI

The J8 is not a consumer truck, not avail in the USA, not made in the USA...

Toyota already has a few Solid Axle trucks that fit that market and ARE avail to consumers- the 70 series (diesel/sfa), the 80 series (diesel/sfa) - they are not avail to USA, but neither is the J8...

That Toyota Tundra Diesel concept looks like Toyota diesel power will come to the USA by way of Hino power. Gotta meet the strict emissions standards of the USA now... very few currently qualify.

I know that this truck is not intended for the general public, and I do know that Toyota does have options that if I really wanted to I could try importing, but I like my FJ40, not too fond of the current FJ, and other Toyota models out there. This J8 has the look, engine, and options I'd like to see on a Toyota made for the north american market. True, they won't sell as many as they do RAV4s, but I bet they would be surprised at just how many new cruisers they would sell if they stripped them down of all those cup holders, stereos, moldings, and other things that we don't need when we drive where we do...I just want a low cost, real, truck with no frills...anyways...just my .02 cents.

If we are not in Toyota's demographics, why is it that everyone who looks at our cruisers says how awesome they are and where can they get one. And, why are there so many new heeps on the road.
I guess if they were to bring back the fj-25 or FJ-40's we would not own something so special and rare. But I would still buy another one!
