do they have a wet weight on it yet?

Just got back from Sunray and let me tell you, the pics just don't do this rig justice. Just sitting in it you can tell an engineer built it. It is SOOOOOO well done I just cannot find the words.

Jim let me play a little, climb a little, sidehill a little and I took the liberty in a nice 3/4 throttle donut in the field. SUPER stable and makes my rig feel like I am driving a 2F again

Anyway, can't wait to get it out on the trail soon. I expect this think to really kill those rocks

What's wrong witha 2F???

Whats wrong with Cruiser parts in general?

I don't see any actual 'cruiser parts on this thing..

Though it's still pretty cool.

[sarcasm]Yeah, If I were building a state of the art comp buggy, I would definitely try to put 1950s era tractor parts on it.[/sarcasm]

How about a Land Cruiser stamped bezel?(not a repro)

Something subtle...
Doesn't have to be bling, it doesn't have to propel the vehicle....

considering that bezel is about 8-10" narrower than stock, plus the steel weighs more than alum or plastic, it's not worth the effort....

If you are building for competition, there is really nothing worth keeping from a stock FJ40....weight and strength are everything, and for "normal" level use, the Cruiser works, but not at comp-level.....

tho, Cruisers do have damn strong driveshaft u-joints....hhhhmmm....what else.....

BTW: Lance, what type of financing would Sunray have on such a toy? ;)

Let me see, how did this all start?

I think it was, December 2004...................

All I was going to do was help with cutting trails at Clayton..............

Met Nolen on that trip, and the rest...........is history.
