I know what's in there.......... :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

I bet its 2wheel drive to save weight
and thats the secret weapon

I'd wager that those are simply, yet another, Ellistonian evolution of a Bling-bling "Who's your daddy?", "What's my name?", "You want better, I'll make it better!" kind of saliva evoking mechanical engineering feat that can only invoke one phrase............ "Damn Tom, YOU DA MAN!!" Tom is one of the few men that I can honestly say that I wished that I was able to spend more time getting to know. Years are theifs that robs us of people of his calibur. Men of his character should be granted another 100 years in life span, simply for the good that they pour out to others.........

300M Sunray 1550 joints I'd bet.. :D

Nah, oversized ball joints similar to what is in pre 68 cruisers. MAde form Titanium to save weight, of course!

:D

Now why would they be hiding them????
They have been on the market for a while.....I think it is a huge ball and claw like the early LC's came with. :D :D
Butch

I bet its a tig welding blue smurf that does all the work....they just watch him and drink beer...

It's either that or a pasta maker.

Don't think so small ;)

WTF?!?!?! Small? I finally laid eyes on one a few weeks ago..

Butch - didn't think they were 300m, that's all..

Lance - You guys are NUTS!! in a truly kick-ass way..

There really is no reason to make a 1550 out of 300M. From what I have seen, the way the knuckle is designed on those.

Tom designed that U-joint for use the rear for those running rear steer. So far, front and rear, there have been no breaks in the 1550 line.

As for the new stuff...............................insane. But there is a very good reason for it ;)

Jimbro -- you bringing it out to the Round-up to show it off????

Roundup is in the plan.

I'm not sure......first it's the coat......now it's the smilies?

Thanks for the props, we are having alot of fun. The shafts for the 1550 are 4340 not 300M. I don't want to dive too deep into the 4340 Vs 300M debate, but there isn't much difference in the 2 materials, and if you are heat treating them to the same tensile, and they will both hold it no problem, the end strength will be the same. The only thing we are making outta 4340 on the 1550 is the shafts, and its a proven shaft material, the yokes and knuckles are T1, also very stout stuff. However, if you want yours built outta 300M we can sure do it! The new stuff is combo materials too, and before to long youll know all about it.

Heres some more floor and the brakes and steering mounts.

BLING! Special Thanks to Michael at Performance Coating Specialties in Arlington for hooking us up with another sweet ceramic job on the complete buggy exhaust, its done inside and out. Keep the temps down. Shame to cover up the nice tig work but well worth it.
