come on i don't want to spend $2200 vs $1700

I'm going to wait 1 more week and if there's no 5th person then I'm going to look for another bumper. I need one by February if possible.

I'm waiting for 1 more person, he's in the process of selling his front ARB bumper right now.

Been exchanging emails with Dallas about what exactly is included in the group.buy deal. I am inches from joining the group so looks like we will see the 5.needed

Anybody in N. Texas want to go in on this to save on shipping? I need a front bumper.

@LFD2037 Did he quote you anything for shipping? I'm in SA and may be interested. My in-laws live in Dallas.

I purchased elsewhere. Sorry.

I was considering getting in on this, but a 100% deposit is a no go for me. Like you said, where is my protection at that point? and you are correct, 50% should cover his material cost. All his profit will come to him when he finishes the bumpers and is ready to build. Getting all the cash up front is like having your cake and eating it too. there needs to be compromise on both sides for a deal like this to work.

@wakesetter I just got off the phone with DC fab, we were able to work things out.
the deposit will be nonrefundable 50% to provide security for the buyer. shipping is $265 flat rate in the lower 48.

what was the sales tax decision?

for shipping I would just pick up in LA or grab it off the truck as you drove by.

what about powder coating discount?

No sales tax with cash payment.

$100 a person for hauling it down, You can certainly pick it up on the way down, LA or Santa Clarita or Orange county.

what about powder coating discount?

The powder coating decisions remains the same, they prefer to ship it out with powder coat. I prefer not to have it, but realistically, $1700 for a dual swing out powder coated is one hell of a deal.

$1700 powder coated is indeed a good deal, but $1500 non powder coated is better...

And you can rattle over the powder and then have an easy match for touchup...

Maybe this deal isn't for you then. Don't ruin for those who are in

I understand you want further savings as do I, but they were willing to compromise to make it work for both buyer and seller.
Plus I doubt they pay $200 for powder coating, their cost would be much less than a regular consumer price.
If you are truly interested, please let me know. DC was very nice to offer this deal until December 31st, but if you miss the haul to SoCal, you will be on your own as they charge $265 for shipping.
