Finally got around to replacing the exhaust. The old one was original and in rough shape. I went with the Magnaflow direct fit CA cat #339894 (https://www.amazon.com/MagnaFlow-339894-Catalytic-Converter-compliant/dp/B00C9XBSAW) and Manafre 2 1/2" cat back exhaust (2-1/2 inch Cat-Back Exhaust System FJ60). Thought I'd post up some pics of how the thermo sensor mounts up, so others can see it's easy. Thanks to @Spike Strip for answering my questions, as this is the same set up he has on his 60.

The Magnaflow cat has a port in the right place for the thermosensor, but the mounting bracket on the thermosensor ends up farther away from the cat, so you'll need longer bolts. I used M6-45 bolts. I was a little nervous about hot air blasting out of the port around the sensor, so I used one of the sensor gaskets from SOR (part 11K in this diagram Page 046 Land Cruiser Exhaust Systems FJ60, FJ62, FJ80, FZJ80 & UZJ100), a smaller washer (1/4" ID), and a larger washer (1/4 "ID) to make sure the port was sealed up nice and tight. The washers are secured on the sensor side by the flange created where the sensor gets thicker, and the gasket fits perfectly in the outside lip of the port. I bought the bolts/nuts/gaskets from SOR - just follow this diagram: Page 046 Land Cruiser Exhaust Systems FJ60, FJ62, FJ80, FZJ80 & UZJ100.

The Manafre cat-back kit includes all the hangers, clamps, and hardware you'll need to install. It seems to be a well made kit, but what do I know. I was a little disappointed to see a generic muffler (AP something?) when the picture shows a Dynomax muffler, but it sounds good. Certainly not to loud, but a little more purposeful than the raspy sound I was getting from the old barely-there unit. Speaking of, it really was barely there - both of the rear hanger mounts were broken in half. The new tailpipe dumps out right behind the real wheel, which I'm told is a better spot to avoid crushing it (like the old one).

In the top pic above, note that the bolts that secure the muffler to the cat actually go through that rusty hanger. For some reason my old ones did not, so the system was just sort of resting on that hanger (along with the two broken hangers in the back).
 
The MAF system has held up well. I've had mine on about 8 years, now... I don't like a loud exhaust and this is throaty, but reasonably quite. Don't remember what muffler it came with.

Finally got around to replacing the passenger seat belt with the kit from seatbeltplanet and wanted to point out that the kit doesn't include replacements for the Torx head bolts on the retractor mounting bracket that are such a pain to get off (see pic below). So if you think you have everything ready to go for install, you don't, and you'll need to run to the hardware store before it closes. I think I ended up with something like an M6-20, but take the bracket with you.

Took the Cwooser out on the truck trails in Cleveland National Forest to try out the new suspension/tire set up. Cwooser handled the trails like a champ. Hiked the Three Sisters trail - not enough rain for the falls to be running, but a good hike nonetheless.

Should you decide to make your way out there, do yourself a favor and don't bring any snacks. That way when you hit Veronica's Kitchen on the way back to civilization the adobadas burrito will be even more mind blowing.

With some motivation from @CaptClose (see his thread - Oh nooooo..... RUST!) and in hopes of fixing the gas smell that has plagued Cwooser forever, I installed a new grommet (90480-92002) at the bottom of the filler neck, new gasket (77293-60030) at the top of the filler neck, and a new gas cap (77310-12100). The old grommet and gasket were in pretty bad shape. The gas cap was a random aftermarket one I had to put back on after my wife left our shiny new OEM one at a gas station. The tab on the filler neck was also pretty bent - looked like that contributed to a poor seal. Pics below.

Tips: 10mm bolts all around; it is easier to get the shield off with a long extension. Filler neck is kind of a pain to get out. Watch out for gas pouring out of the fill hose when you unhook the filler neck. You'll want to elevate the end of the hose - I jammed a short 2x4 between the frame and the hose.

I’m not sure this is where your gas smell is coming from though. What kind of fuel mileage are you getting?

Mpg isn't bad (relatively speaking). The smell is coming from somewhere in this area - probably just the gas cap. It wasn't sealing. I checked all the vapor hoses in the area and didn't see anything fishy, but will do that again if the smell persists.
 
Did a couple of little things to get ready for a mountain biking/camping trip. Replaced the fossilized interior dome and hatch lights with LEDs from superbrightleds.com (3022-WWHP4-V2: Warm White 5630 and 3610-WW4: Warm White). Really nice $5 mod.

Added a hitch receiver for my bike rack. Thanks to info from some other threads, I picked up a Draw-Tite 75725 on Amazon for $120. Pics below.

As others have mentioned it fits the frame rails perfectly, you just need to drill one 1/2" hole in the frame on each side - to match the front hole in the receiver.

To save others some time and a trip or two to the hardware store, you'll need to buy some bolts - the M14s that come with the receiver are too big for the existing holes in the frame, and your existing bolts under the bumper will be too short. For the two bolts under the bumper that go into the existing weldnuts you'll need M12-1.25 around 60mm if I remember correctly. For the two holes in the frame closest to the rear I used M12-1.25 around 45mm. For the two holes that you'll be drilling in the frame toward the front of the vehicle you can use the 1/2" bolts provided w/the receiver. You'll also need a bunch of washers, or something else to make a little spacer between the bumper and the receiver to level it out.

I'm pretty happy with it.
