Ford did their homework.

I really like it. 2 door, convertible, manual with 35s, locking diffs, from the factory.

Jeep has competition now and that is a good thing. ;<)

Interesting observation - Some videos show the new GY Duratrac and other videos show the BFG KO2 and KM3's. Also, the new GY DT looks a lot like a KM3.

*I saw this in chat and this is just too good not to have it's own thread. ;<)

that’s a really nice wrangler alternative for someone going new; maybe we can talk them into loaning us one to test out the front side of Daniel - lol

Yes sir. Let's do it.

I like it. Too bad I'm an old man. One reviewer speaks of having one rule when it comes to legendary vehicles..."if you're an auto maker and you're lucky enough to stumble into creating a legend you have one job, DO NOT PISS AWAY THAT ICON. " Toyota pissed away the icon that is the FJ40

I am actually watching that exact review right now. I never ever thought I would say this in my life, but I think I want to buy a Ford now. That two door with a 7 sp manual is calling me. With my luck it won't be made for big people like myself. I hope this new Bronco is not for short people like the new Wranglers are.

Right there with you. I never ever ever thought I would buy a FORD for any reason. A 2 door manual convertible on 35s with lockers from the factory sounds just right. Need to start saving. I will tell you my friends/friend owns a ford dealer and he said absolutely do not pay a premium as they will make them for years and the deposit is only $100.

The amount of tire options and mix and match that they are offering is awesome. I give them credit for bringing back a bronco that isn't a crappy crossover or anything like that. They are also offering a range of gear ratios up to I think I read 4.3... Freaking awesome

I'm really, really excited about the bronco but....
1) Do I want to get rid of the taco?
2) Ford has left a bad taste in my mouth. The only new vehicle I've ever owned was a 2000 Ford F350 with the Powerstroke diesel. It was the most amazing truck ever and towed like a champ until 68K miles (just over warranty) when the transmission s*** the bed and it wouldn't go into reverse.
3) IFS. Because I'm a snob.

Good one

Worry a little bit about head room in these new Broncos?

Oh...and the bronco ‘sport’ is a bit odd. I wonder how the sales will be split b/w the two?

Those of you that actually buy new stuff - let me know how it went in 5 years. Or more importantly, you go ahead and ride that depreciation curve and let me know when it levels out :)

[building.
The original bronco also had three configurations.

you think they are going to devalue? jeeps hold their value pretty good dont they? Which is a similar or comparable vehicle. I thought fjcruisers held their value pretty good as well.
I guess time will tell. I am a ford fan. Love my super duty and love the raptors.
I like the new broncos but I think I would buy a four door Jeep before I would buy one of these. I don’t hate them though. And of course can’t wait to see the crazy creations that companies will build for SEMA. Because you know there will be at least 100 bronco builds there if they have it this year.

I get with liability it would never happen but I think something like the new Bronco as a rolling chassis would be awesome. Basically a frame/running drivetrain with a detachable gauge cluster/ECU that would accept an older body (FJ, CJ, etc.) - essentially a Restomod starter kit. Availability in a couple wheelbase lengths would be fairly easy to do, I would think??

I bet they come up with a RAPTOR Version that is going to be bad ass. I don’t ever plan on buying a new vehicle ever again but I would really think about getting a raptor version of one of these Broncos. Or maybe I should just shut up and get a raptor. Haha

Yes - I think it will devalue. Fj's and Jeeps do hold their value decently well, that's true, so do 4runners and Tacomas.... Ever see a mass produced Ford hold their value over 5 years? I can't think of any.

First gen broncos are not cheap.
