rumor has it that they are a little anemic for use airing up tires, especially bigger ones....takes a looooooong time and the unit is subject to overheating.

check out the first issue of 4WD Toyota Owner (Sept./Oct. 2005) for a great side-by-side comparison of several on-board air systems. you may want to just use it for the lockers...

great price on that though :)

Pretty sure that one is JUST for lockers. I think Tech Tim from ARB posted up about it over on Pirate when it first came out. It was made as compact as possible for the competiion trucks to run. Or for those with another source for tires and tools. The larger compressor will air up tires in a pinch and it sure beats nothing at all but I'd rather have a different air source for that. I love the ARB compressors when all they do is the locker...

You are spot on... read here:

The new CSKA12 is made to ONLY activate the lockers, meaning it has a VERY small tank compared to the regular RDCKA. The RDCKA is decent at filling tires, but compared to CO2, Oasis, and some of these smaller units on the market now, it doesn't compare, it wasn't designed too. ;)
