Hey all,
I have been here for a little over a week I think, just lurking. I can't believe all of the info that I've come across. Sounds like a lot of happy owners here. I'm in the NW and the only off-roading that I've done is service roads (if that's considered off-roading), snow and thick mud. Here are a couple of pics of my 1999 TLC, which just turned 172k. When I got in 3yrs ago it had 43k on it. I still love this truck as much as the first day I got it. I haven't had any problems with this vehicle except brake pads. Which is all because of the way I drive.
Thanks again for having me and maybe I'll get the oppurtunity to meet and drive with some of you. Until then, here are a few pics of my baby in various situations. Enjoy and feel free to comment.

Thanks for the welcome. As far as the miles go...I LOVE THIS TRUCK. Did some road tripping in this baby. Went to the Bonneville Salt Flats (Sept. '06) for the Land Speed Races and got'r up to approx. 100 mph. 171 mph on my motorcycle, but both were awesome.
My dogs love this truck too.

Wow, that's 43K miles a year! That is A LOT of seat time! Do you have a long commute every day or is that just from trips you've taken?

Greg B, my commute isn't very long at all. I just love to drive and most of those miles are from both work and pleasure. I hope it will last alot longer cause I enjoy driving it.
I want to do some mods, I just wasn't sure if it I had too many miles on it.

There was a guy a while back that had over 200K on his 100. I think his Mud name was Cheezey or Chuckie or something like that. But that's it; 200K in a 100 is quite the achievement so far.

Selling our 98 Lexus LX470. 213K miles on it and never had a major problem on it. Timing belts were just replaced at 200K miles, a

He also had the record for most miles on an original T-belt. Too bad he sold.

Which brings up the point that if you do need to sell your 100. Introduce the new owners to MUD.

Well, now I have something to shoot for. I haven't had any problems and I don't want any. I will tell all TLC owners that I meet about this site. Very informative and interesting. So far, I love it here.
