Well the honeymoon period with my new 4sp was short lived. 1 and 2 are smooth and quiet, 3 and 4 are noisy, low level growl which sounds quite bad in 4 low. Sooo, thanks to mtrdrms and his parts to rebuild my 3sp that I brought back home with me, I will be using that for a while. But... anyone have any idea what might be the trouble specifically with this grouchy 4sp? All syncrhos are smooth, shifts really nice, but like I said only problem are growly 3/4 gears, worse in low. I'm going to have it torn down and inspected, so where's a good place to buy tranny parts?
