What a catch, very nice 40: throw in a new clutch and maybe the full Old Man Emu treatment (mild lift at most) and you'll have a beauty of a Cruiser.

No idea about the snowplow, but thanks!

Its actually my dads, I've got a 75 in the middle of a frame off, that one is pretty not stock.

I think he is gonna keep this totally stock, planning on repainting it for sure though!

Nice looking 40, I especially like the quick release hinges for the windshield. Haven't seen any of the older 40's up close. Only '77 and up.

Nice cruiser. Looks to be in awsome shape. How did you get uhaul to let you rent the trailer for a Landcruiser? Clear turn and bib lights you don't see that often. Does it have Disc brakes? I see it has the power streeing added.

Congrats and good luck!

thats a very nice 66 fj40(its not a 65 or if it is its a late 65) its in great shape, its almost 100% stock. Nice find! where in the Seattle area are you?

man the paint looks pretty darn good to me, unless there is something really bad I can't see, I would not repaint it, just buff it out a bit.

Uhaul didn't want to at first, but we just kept calling the various stores/gas stations until eventually we got an uninformed employee to rent it to us.

I dont believe it has disc brakes, but the drums seem to be in decent shape.

Right now we are living on bainbridge an island right off of seattle, I will definatly pass along the tip about not painting it! I guess we just assumed we had to in order to treat the small amount of surface rust it has.

He found it up in Estes Park Colorado, the owner told us that he inherited it from his grandfather but his wife refused to let him work/"waste" money on it. We were tempted to drive it by cool cruisers in CO just to show it off!

I have not have any problem renting a trailer from u-haul as long as its a fj40. Was told that the fj55 is too heavy so called back later and said it was a fj40. No prob. ;)
