New 100 series owner and key question

Hello - picked up my first land cruiser yesterday! 2000 with 180k miles and super clean.

My first question...the spare key currently looks like this:

Is there a cheap fix for this? The fab still works! Also on my list - passenger door actuator stopped working and the antenna does not go up. I can hear the motor for the antenna every time I turn the car on and off. Thank you for your help.

X2 on supranut's fob, I have one, it's great. I used the Corolla or Camry key with it. For your lock, there's a thread on replacing the lock motor, you can find the motors on Ebay for cheap. And for the antenna, the plastic gear ribbon that pushes/pulls the antenna is probably broken. There's a good thread on removing the antenna and seeing how much of the plastic is gone. Some people are able to just feed a new antenna in if not much is left in the motor spool, others have to pull the motor assembly out to pull the stripped pieces out.

funny I had two same issues w mine when i got it. if the antenna motor works which mine did, i just replaced the mast part, got an aftermarket one; on the ds door lock; i replaced the complete thing but i've read on here that you may be able to get the actuator motor alone from someplace; search for that you'll find it. nice truck btw

If you prefer the original style integral remote key, you can get uncut key shells on EBay for $3.33 each. Go ahead and order a couple and get them cut, then you will have an extra for the next time.

Paid $6 for a Toyota key fob shell off of Amazon and $2 to cut key. Problem solved.

I just received my first LC today 04 with 111k miles. had to wait a week because I bought it the day it was traded in. so they had to order tires, muffler and detail.

I have three keys, one looks like it once looked like that. now its glued together. buttons don't work so it will become a hide a key if I decide.

I will say I was surprised the new key was not programed and vehicle wouldn't start.
