Hello All,

I'm sorting out my starting issues and have a new neutral safety switch that I'll be installing. I looked under the truck and located the switch, but the connectors at the other end of the pigtail ran up the transmission towards the front and I was unable to see where they went. I think they either went into the engine bay (near the starter) or into the area near the shifter. Can anyone confirm where the end connectors are located before I try to hunt them down? And maybe the best way to get to them?

Picture for reference.

Thanks!

This image makes me think it goes into the engine bay:

These might help. I took these when I was fixing my missing connectors. This is from the drivers side wheel looking up in the engine bay

Awesome, thanks. This is super helpful. I'll try to match it up tonight. This is on my HDJ81, but I can't imagine it's terribly different.

Thanks! I got it replaced without too much issue. Maybe with the gassers it's easier, but I removed the big 24v starter to make getting to the connectors easier. Fishing the connectors from the back to the front was a bit of a pain, but not as bad as I thought it'd be. I was able to lay under the truck (with my head right behind the left tire) and feed the cable with my right hand and pull it through with my left hand, using a long screwdriver to coax it along.

Thanks again for the help!
