Needs shop manual for 92 HDJ81,cruise not working

Hi,where can l get a shop manual for HDJ81 in Canada?
The cruise control doesn't work,has anyone has problem with cruise not working?

Hello there Simon!!! Glad to see you here Do you still have that custom turbocharged BJ60?

My HDJ81 also has an inoperative Cruise control. I read somewhere that it could be due to a defective speed sensor, but I have not looked into it yet.

If you find anything, let me know

HI, Just a tip on where to find a copy of a Toyota service manual for an 80 series. The Toyota manuals come separately, body in one and engine in another I've bought mine (both) from Dan at 4wd auto wholesale 1-866-468-2570. The manuals are expensive but in my opinion very worthwhile. Tony

hi My cruise works fine but remember if your truck is jdm you can only engage the cruise at speeds below 110 kph. not sure what speed you are trying to engage it. hope this may help.

Hi,l tried at speed from 60 to 90k.
Hi chris,l still have that springover BJ60,it is still my trailtruck for now for around Winnipeg,BHCC and williston NorthDakota until l finish building the BJ42.
it is for sale.
l have too many trucks now,just got in 2 days ago a 92 HDJ81,92 supra twin turbo,also sitting in the garage a HZJ77 and a Mitsu jeep and my daily driver HJ61.

Hi Simon or should I say, like Dan Loubier (where are you?) used to say emphatically, "Hello Simon! Hello everyone in Diesel Land"!!!

We never met, but to me you're an old buddy... Remember the old DTLC, Mike Graham, Shaun Wilkinson, Damian Lopes, John McQueen, Paul Huber, Paul Meyer, Yvan Lamoureux... ? At the time I read with great interest your retrofitting a Nissan 280 ZX Turbo (IIRC) on your blue BJ60...

Anyway if you get into the Cruise Control and find something, let us know! I've read that one failure was due to a defective speed sensor, don't know if it applies to you (haven't checked myself). My CC lights up on the dash, but nothing happens.

Hi Chris,it has been a long time,ya,where is Dan Loubier?l ordered the chassis book for the HDJ 81 from Dan at 4wheel auto,this is for a customer's truck.the book is expensive.Also ordered a book for the Hilux surf,have to do a cylinder head for another guy.

Funny, I saw your order sitting in the shop waiting for shipment when I stopped by to get a chassis manual on Friday. The Surf/HDJ81 combination stuck out in my mind as I leafed through your chassis manual thinking it was mine...

I wish I knew, he was such a nice guy! I was lucky enough to meet him and his wife in person about 7 or 8 years ago but several emails I sent him got returned undelivered... Last time I heard of him, that must have been 3 or 4 years ago, he was getting involved in tourist accomodations or so it seemed... I've done a search on the net that only came up with old links from the DTLC years...

Hi Jasonmt,its a small world,and Chris,Dan stop by my shop and had dinner at my house about 4 years ago when he bought a BJ60 from down east and drove it back to Peace river.
