I took my new to me '80 for a long dirt road ride yesterday. When I got back to lower altitude and turned the AC on it broke the belt. Ended up going into the other belts and twisting them. I limped home, bought new belts and replaced the two alternator/fan belts. Went to replace the AC belt and the bolt on the (idler arm?) that adjusts the tension is going to break off (the head is truning but not the rest of the bolt). Can just the bolt be replaced if I can get all of it out?
Thanks in advance!

BTW; absolutely loved the 80 :D

I have to ask, did you loosen the bolt on the idler pully?

That allows the idler pulley to move.

I did but still looks like the bolt is going to break.

Someone previously did not loosen the lock bolt and stripped it. Cdan sells a new pulley with new lock nut and the long adjuster screw for a rippin' deal... I think I have my old one laying around, but not worth sending you an old one since he's near you.
