Would this combo work. I know if i searched for a while I could find this stuff out but I need to know quickly. Went wheeling and busted a tire and to get a replacement they are discontinued. I was thinking since I have to buy new tires I would just go with 35" but will they fit with just an OME 3" lift. Im planning on going higher in the future. Readign about the gearing would the 4:11s work or would I need to go to 4:88s. It is a 1989 FJ62 with the stock drivetrain. sorry about the repost but thanks for the help.

Post this question over on the 3FE list...I bet you will get a answer quick..

I have a 3 inch lift on my FJ62, with 33 inch tires - I can't see 35 inch tires fitting on it.

I think Steve Crase..overhanger runs this set up and I belive he has regeared...but you would need to ask him.

you already have 4.11's in a 62 (stock usa that is)

35;s will fit but will rub. If you want to do a lot of cutting you can..

Just do a springover and be done with it. Cost is very similar to the OME full setup (course that depends on how much you can do yourself)

already have the OME though just dont want to buy 33" and turn around and buy 35" when I get gears, lockers, and more lift in a couple of months or so.

There's a 1" body lift available that would help clear the 35's. I think spring over and 35s with 4.56s are a great combo for a 60 series.

The SOA would be the way to go I just dont have the time or the resources to do it. The 35" fit but if things started flexing I think they will rub. I think the only option is to go higher and fit the 35" if i got to buy new tires.

SOA if you have the time. Another option would to be get some used tires from a shop and then get the 2.5 or 3 inch OME install it and let the springs work for awhile. Then maybe by July the springs will be broke in or at least settled and save the money to SOA. Buy new tires and regrear at the same time. This way you can piece together your parts till summer, Good luck_Dylan

I ran 35's with 4" lift. It worked ok, but rubbed when the truck swayed around corners. I have added a 3" body since then and re-arched the back for another 2". So i would say no that set up would not be the best. It would probably work for driving around roads, but if you went off roading you would probably run into problems. just my 2 cents!

buy a used tires or 2 and make do until yo ucan save the $ and do it right.

35"

Completed this one today.. 35/12.50--EMU--shackle reversal.. 35"s OK..

I just got 35z put on this week. I have a 2" bodylift kit which I haven't fitted as yet. I have OME 2" lift with 2" longer shackles. The tyres ripped off my front drivers side mud flap on the way home from the tyre shop. They also rub in the back when I take a corner at speed. That's not even wheeling it. You will need a bit extra lift to fit those!

I wouldn't want to try to turn 35" tires with a 3FE and 4.11 gears.

Depends on his altitude and terrain.

I wheeled a 2F with 33's and stock gears (3.77?) mathematically it ends up being about the same as turning 35's with 4.11's... I had no issues.

The altitude doesnt really affect only about 1500 feet at max mostly around 500 or so. I have gotten used to the slow lane so I figured I would try it out before getting gears and lockers.

By all means, try it it out, but I bet you hate it. I ran 33s with 4.11s for a while and didn't like it at all. I'm running 4.56s now, which greatly improved the driveability of the truck.

I have the 2H with 35z and 4.11 . It's not good, although the 3FE should be able to power that better. I did have 33z and 4.11 which was ok. Not sure if I'd go with 4.56 or 4.88 instead.
