Need stock diff primer

Ok, I decided finally to put the axle housings out of my newer parts cruiser into my older 67 driver (along with some other shyte). Problem is the rear diff on the newer rig is pretty worn and for the moment am looking for a quick solution. Couple things I'd like to know. One is what is the likelihood that the ratios are the same on the two rigs? Allowing me to use the front off the later rig and keep my rear for the moment? Then, on the newer rig, are the diff's interchangable front to rear? I could deal with a worn front diff till I could locate a replacement set.

Ratios are the same up until 8/79.
67 housing has small diameter studs and 68 and up diffs have larger diameter holes.
3 speed flanges are different, but they are interchangeable up until some time in 78.

Front and read diffs are interchangeable.
