2010 LX570, 89k miles. Purchased for dog sporting events, and some fly fishing. I need a canopy system to block the desert sun when my dogs and I are relaxing. I've seen the Napier rear hatch canopy and will probably use one, but I also need a side awning. Is there an easy way to attach the awning to the factory rails and cross bars (feels like aluminum with plastic front/rear fairings)? It looks like I have four anchors on each side:. 2 under the fairings and two in channels. Photos are attached. I'm trying to avoid purchasing a roof rack until I figure out some other things (mainly air circulation and shade for now).

I am partial to the Eezi-Awn Swift, and wouldn't mind the Eezi-Awn Manta if it would still allow hatch to be fully raised. But, I think I'll settle for an ARB2500 for the short-term trial runs.

The main thing is getting a Side Awning attached and seeing how it works for heat control before going all in with full roof rack (Prinsu or Frontrunner).

Thank you. I must have searched and read every post and passed over the "reddening" post. This is very helpful to me. Thank you.

For sure. I’ve decided just today to raise the batwing 40mm in hopes of clearing the rear hatch spoiler. Decided to use 4080 extrusion for this. Was about $70 for the small piece of extrusion plus brackets and bolts and nuts. Spendy but I hope not fiddly.
I’m going to reuse the red brackets as my new En-suite mounts.
