Need some help on 2002 LC

I am looking to buy a 2002 LC, it will be first one, and I have a couple questions.

1) It has a 2" Old Man Emu lift on it, and the 285/75 r16 tires look a little small/narrow underneath it. What is the best tire size to go under it that will fill out wheel well and look good, thinking about 305/70 r16 or 295/75 r16? I am getting BFG All Terrain K/O's.

Also, I am putting a ARB Sahara Bar/Bumper on it, no winch, and need to consider front end drop when deciding tire size.

2) The one I am looking at has a rebuilt/used motor that came from Japan Motors, and has 50K on it. Has anyone heard of them/can give info on them?

305/70's are the same diameter as 285/75's. 295s are about 33.5". 315's are 35". there are some 34" options if you move to an 18" wheel.

Or would I be better off going to an 18" XD Monster wheel and something like a 305/70 or 35x12.5?

The fact that it has a rebuilt/replacement motor would be of greater concern if it were me.

The motor getting replaced had to do with the flexplate and transmission messing up. The windshield had been replaced and not sealed correctly, which was letting water get into electronics. Long story short, it has new flexplate, new electronics/solenoid?, new transmission installed by Toyota dealership. I would also be getting a 30 month/30000 mile warranty that covers everything on the vehicle.

I am not in a hurry, just starting process, and looking for LC enthusiasts help/opinions

^ Even still are you sold on this one vehicle? exploring other Lc's/Lx's couldnt hurt. If its the already installed lift that your interested in try looking at a similar year Lx 470, it has the AHC so you could just over ride it on high (about a 2 inch lift) and throw on those tires and XD rims

I have decided against the one with replacement motor. What are some things I need to look for aside from 90k service, timing belt, and as complete as can be service records, and rust? I only drive about 5k miles a year, and climb 1k vertical feet 5 days a week to go to work. Thanks

When you look for rust, make sure to bring a flash light. I might not have bought mine if I'd been able to see how much rust there was.

Out of curiosity, how much were they asking for the 2002 LC with rebuilt motor?

17,800, motor just put in, but has approximately 50k on it. Teton Chevrolet in Jackson, WY is the dealer
