i like flat pait jobs ... just my .02 ...

There's no matte automotive paint. You have to add a flattening agent...and no one (around here at least) seems to know how much to get a certain finish. You may want to prep and old fender or some such and do some experimentation.

I like it, especially the blue.

Now you've got me thinking about trying that out on my hj60....
I've been planning two-tone for a long time, with a blue/silver color up top and the stock, dark blue below. Now I'm thinking that it might look good with a matte blue on the bottom (same color, just in matte) and a matte silver up top

hmmmm

flat army green on an 80...... sounds cool!

The purple is just fugly.

I like that matte paint job too. There were some heeps wranglers that had a factory matte finish like that VW in your first post.

I like the black... It would sort of have the look of those fancy teflon coated rims being sold. If the paint was a two part, base coat with a top clear coat system, wouldn't the top clear coat have to be flat as well. Or are they using single stage paints? I really like the look. When my time comes to repaint I now have TWO options..... Flat/semi gloss paint or bedliner top to bottom.

I just saw this one last Friday. Slightly more glossy than the other examples.
