I'm missing one J hook form a 65 SWB.

is that stock? doesn't look like it.

Damn it puppies! I thought that too but I had seen a few rigs with them here on the site so I figured they were. Now I've looked through the registry and other pic threads and NOT ONE! :o

I guess that makes it easy. Pick one up at the hardware store to match the 5 others for now and throw them all away after the redo.

Dom,

I hate to say it,but I have seen at least 5 shortys with those hooks, and I have a four wheeler mag from oct 63 with the same hooks being used to hold down cargo! My old 64 shorty had identical hooks,so maybe an option or dealer add on,but I would keep them on!! For anyone out there who wants to see some vintage short wheel base 45s,go get the movie Bless the beast and the children, weird movie, but lots of action in two early 60s swb pick ups.Looks like it was shot in cali in the early 70s.Maybe one was yours Dom!!!

if they were stock, they would be counter sunk phillips head screws, not flat blade. also would have had nuts behind them, not just a sheetmetal screw, which is what they look like.

those would be pretty easy to add by any PO!

Hey Dom:
Saw the exact hooks on a 63 sb-fixed cab. I will ask him next time I see him. Thinking about buying a 65-lwb to restore to stock. Wife not very excited. Say hi to Barbi, tell him we start 48/96 early next year.
