I need new tires. I'm currently running 33x12.50 Goodyear MTR's, which I haven't had any problems with. After searching here there are a lot of different options that people like. I found out that I can't get the Nitto Terra Grapplers in a 15in wheel. I went down to Discount Tire to see what they had.

BFG KM2 for $1000
Goodyear MTR Kevlar for 1190
BFG KO for 1072
Goodyear DuraTrac for 930

After talking with the salesman, he had a set of the Goodyear MTR's that he said he would give me for $1000. I don't know if they can't sell them or what but he went down almost $200. Before he offered that I was leaning towards the KM2s or the DuraTracs.

What do you guys think?

I haven't run the MTRs, but my brother has been through about three sets on has Toyota pickup. Although he swears by them, they have not gone one mile past 30K. I get twice that out of my BFG KOs, which are excellent tires until it gets muddy. Luckily, I live in a desert. Its all about the application.

I'm pretty fond of my Duratracs, but I don't do any heavy wheeling. Just typical huntin' and fishin' type stuff. Only got a few thousand miles on them but they still look brand new.

get the KM2s

I work for goodyear, and honestly the new MTR with Kevlar is a s***ty tire... the sidewall is weak :(

I would go with the bfg if you are looking for better milage, but if you are wanting a mud tire check out the Cooper STT

I have 31 1050 15 goodyear wrangler mud sumthing or nuthers on my 62. They work good in spring mud geting back to my cabin. The snow is not a big a big deal, BUT at 28000 miles and I have less than a 1/4 of the tread left. I was given them free so I can't bitch. I think for my bucks I would go interco TSL. I had BFG at's befor and I would take a set for free. They last for ever but the grip suck's.

for offroad I like the BFG KM2 MT, for now I have 33*12.5*15. Later on I may change wheels and go with same model tire on 17inch wheel for off-road.

Been busy lately, I was able to get a quote from Discount for the Toyo tires. They sell the MTs for $277 and the AT for $204. So I am debating between the KM2s and the Toyo's M/T or Toyo's A/T. But apparently I have time to decide. Discount told me they have a 4-5 week wait on the KM2s and a 2 month wait on the Toyo's. So between these three tires what do you guys like. Price are as follows

KM2s $222 per tire
Toyo M/T $277
Toyo A/T $204

Cost wise I would get the KM2s but what do you guys think?

Thanks

Sean
