Just wanted to add my .02

I just did brembo stock replacement rotors and Mr. T 100 series pads.

Just got back from Jefferson State Cruisers McGrew Trail Ride. I put about 600 miles on my 80 and I couldn't be happier with the set-up on and off-road. It is like night and day difference from stock.

I saw those on the tire rack site. They didn't seem overly priced for something with a Brembo badge on it.

The brake package arrived today. Everything looks legit. Everything is badged Power Stop, the box at least. The rotor boxes say Kinetic Rotors by Power Stop, but there are no marks on the actual rotors themselves. The ceramic pads say Power Stop on the backing plates. There is no indication anywhere of manufacture location. Generally if its made in China they get a sticker on there somewhere, but so do the US and Mexico.

I hope to get time this weekend to install the package.

You will enjoy it, I do so far!:)

I got everything installed today. I cleaned and re-greased the front wheel hubs also, they were apart anyway to get the new rotors on. I did find the MIC on the rotors, but the quality seems top notch as far as I can tell. I guess only time will tell at this point. I am very happy so far.

I don't think MIC should be a concern here. The name of the manufacturer is the KEY. All the iphones & ipads are all MIC anyway!

Have a set of powerstop rotors on my runner for 10 years now, maybe 50,000 miles. Still working fine.

Nice! We have a couple days of driving around with the new rotors and pads. They are silent and stop great. Not any improved stopping power, but they work as they should.

My wife says her rig feels faster. I am assuming its just a placebo affect of having new stuff. Her old brakes were very worn though, one front pad was actually metal on metal in one corner.
`
It was a long day putting these on, but I am very happy knowing she and the kids have new stoppers.

Frankly, I didn't see any MIC on the package but IMO, the rotors looks good & decent, may not taste good. I will repost after a year on the status of the rotor. So far,
in 3 months , it's good, knocking the WOOD!

I had the set of rotors & pads for a year now. Powerstop pads lasted about 12k with no wrapping in rotors, no machining is required after 12k, changed to new pads F&R with Monroe ceramic pads. My 97 LX450's brake pads never lasted more than 12k-13k even with OEM pads.

I just ordered the Power Stop K1155 package online. $337.11 delivered. That's the full set of slotted/drilled rotors and pads, front and back for the 80. Hope to have a similarly good experience. I got mine from thebrakeguys.com, but that's just what google+shopping said was the lowest price. It was $25 cheaper than amazon. There were several sites within a couple of dollars of that price.

F/R sets tend to run exactly half the full set.

Power Stop regular pads are their Z16 model.
The heavy duty front pads for the 80 are Z26.
There is a Z36 heavy duty front pad set for the 100. Not sure if they fit the 80 like the 100 OEM pads do.

Hope somebody finds this useful. :wrench:

FYI, my brakes came in today. I'll be installing them soon and either keep my old rotors (<20k) or sell them. The shipment came in two nearly identical boxes.

Here are the pics:

I have them on two of ours and they work great. The second set I got came with 100 series front pads.

The rear is pretty quick. Be prepared to spend some time up front and clean/re-grease everything.

Where did you find the set? The e-bay link is dead. I am going to put a set on our third rig.

Whoa! Is this supposedly the same Power Stop set or just similar?

The pads are Powerstop ceramic while the rotors are called Kinetic rotors. I had them for over 12k now. Rotors are still perfect, quiet & firm stop. Pads were worn out around 12k recently. My OEM pads on OEM rotors lasted anywhere from 5k to 10k.

So I am very happy with their products so far.:)
