Need more starter help - (1 Viewer)

I had my starter hang last week, so I pulled it and replaced the plunger and contacts...and all was well. For a week at least. So now every once in a while (usually when starting warm) it will start cranking as normal and then clunk twice and stop. It usually fires up the next time, but I'm stuck here - is the starter just going bad? I don't think I missed anything when replacing the parts (right order of pieces, correct torque) - the only place I varied from the manual was not having a press to keep the contacts flat (so I did the best I could), and not being able to get my 1/2" torque wrench on the top bolt when reinstalling. Any ideas?
