I'm jumping in from the 80 Series forum. Can someone who owns a Sahara Bar give me the measurement of the IPF/ Lamp inserts that go into the Sahara Bumper. I'm looking for the H x W of the Entire plastic insert please....i'm looking to put that light assembly into my 80's ARB Bumper. (hopefully it will fit). Thanks

FWIW, i don't think you'll have enough "pitch" to the 80's arb bumper to make them work. if you cut them in, then the fogs might be a little cross-eyed due to the shape of the sahara compared to the shape of the 80 arb bull bar.

a guy with a early 90's toyota truck tried the same thing over on yotatech and it didn't work out for him due to this.

Good point...and that'd be an expensive experiment. Maybe he could sell his 80 and get a 100 so he can snag a Sahara Bar? :D :D

or sell it and get a 3rd gen runner. :D

best thing to do would be to get a pic from the top of the contour of the 80 bar. then we can compare them to see if it's possible.

there's some pics of mine along the way at http://www.4rnr.net and you can tell a little bit about how it angles in on the sides from that.

[edit] here's a decent one. click the pic for a larger version [/edit]

and another one from the side and above:

Airlaird,
You also might want to search the 100 forum for these lights. I seem to remember several folks say that they didn't like those lights in their bumper at all. Cosmetically, they look great, but some have stated that functionally, they aren't very good.

thanks for the info..that's good to know. Honestly, my plan was to install PIAA's in place of the IPF's. I have never been that impressed with the smaller IPF's.
