Howdy! I suddenly find myself very:doh: inspired to install a "high steer kit" on my Piggy. Long :o story! Anyone have good/bad experience:banana: with these? Who's got the best  setup, Luke Porter? Anybody got a link for him? John

Howdy! While I'm at it, does anyone have a good source for stock, or upgraded, steering studs? John

Kurt probably has them and if you act quick may get in on free shipping!

Howdy! His web site shows only the 79 - newer studs and stuff, so I emailed him, and sure enough, that's all he carries. Went to Power Toyota and the droid actually had it up on screen in about 1 minute. But, surprise!! Not in stock, so they are ordered. John

Howdy! Just a progress report. All of the old TRE's came off real easy. I replaced them about 5 years ago, and coated them in Never Seize. Even the Pitman arm wasn't too bad. Steering arms came off OK, and I found some of the original studs were a bit loose. Used all new nuts, cones, and studs from Power Toyota. Luke Porter's kit is really heavy duty. Mondo steering arms!! Went back together OK. Only have to rebore the end of the pitman for the new GM 1 ton TRE's, or find a stocker that will mate up on the Saginaw box. Anybody got a good shop to set/adjust the toe-in? Tools, how about Salem Bros? John

Sounds good, big bling arms!:D On the toe, why not set it yourself?

Howdy! It handled good on the hiway before I tore into it, but it turns out it was "toe-out" about double the amount of "toe-in" that is spec: 0.12 to 0.20"or, 3 to 5 mm. I set it in at 3/16" which should be right at mid point. Won't know till I finish up and do a test drive. John

Howdy! Spent Monday looking all over Phoenix for longer Pitman arm. No Dice. Having Tempe Machine mill out the end of the old one to fit bigger TRE. Now I'm looking for a shop that can actually rebuild a Saginaw power steering box. My old one works fine, but the internal stops limit the movement of the Pitman arm. John
