We acquired a frac sand mine as part of a larger oil&gas transaction. They've been using icom ic-f2100d radios to communicate around the mine, and I'm looking for cheaper/better radios to replace them with.
From a quick google search, these are UHF transmitters...
As a test, I put my GMRS radio on 462.5875 and was not able to communicate with the iCom's channel 2.
Can anyone give me a quick lesson on the advantage of the icom - and is there a cheaper/better option to start replacing them with?
