Anyone out there in the Los Angeles area that knows a good, reliable, fair priced paint/powder coat shop? More specifically in the South Bay as I live in El Segundo. I'm looking to have my Hundy wheels powder coated black to match the vehicle paint color. Was considering buying new black wheels but have seen several threads/posts about having the OEM wheels painted black.

Thanks:cheers:

I work in Downey and this shop does all my PC.
Over a year old and still looks like new. I have not done any hard core rock crawling with these. If you want the # I'll PM you.

Beach City Powder coating in Gardena. It on Rosecrans, so pretty close to you. My roof rack is in right now. I saw the work they did and it was very good. Check them out.

Question for you guys - do you know why powdercoating aluminum wheels is so much more expensive that steel? I just got a quote from Les Schwab for $25 per wheel to powdercoat steel, but then I told him my wheels are the factory aluminum wheels (that is correct right?) and he said $74 per wheel! Seems like a huge divide so is there additional steps to PC aluminum?

Another vote for Beach Cities in Gardenia. I've had several motorcycle parts done through them and their work has been great.

Do you recall the specific color of your powdercoat?

I have used Islands powder coating in El Monte several times and always been happy with there work. I called them last week about coating my stock aluminum 18's and they quoted me $300 for five wheels including blasting.

All - thanks for all the recommendations and will call around for quotes from those suggested.

Powder Coat Shop

I don't know if you have found any close to your place yet, but I have used a shop on 9th street in Wilmington a few times. Santa Fe Avenue dead ends into their shop, just past Anaheim street. Reasonable cost and good quality.
