I've bought and mounted my 30" lightbar and now that the factory OE Auxiliary Light Switch (PT297-35070-AS) has come in I'm ready to wire it. Does anyone have any detailed instructions or know where to find some that explain how to do this? I am pretty familiar with the wiring of my vehicle just not for this specific task as I've never done this before. I don't want to take everything apart and not know what to do and end up taking it to a professional and paying them to fix my mess:(

I'm assuming you know the difference between power and ground and know how to source them in the vehicle .

The light will need to be grounded as well as powered. For ground go direct to the battery. You will also go to the battery for power for the LIGHT via a relay. The switch energizes the relay and switches power to the lights. The power for the switch (pin 1 and 3) can be had from any ACC source. Illumination will need to come from the ILL circuit. You can tap another near by switch such as the power 1/4 switch for ILL.

Switch Wiring:
Pin 1: 12 volt input, Active indicator light
Pin 2: Ground, Active indicator light
Pin 3: 12 Volts, Switch input from a fused ignition source.
Pin 4: 12 volts, Switch Output
Pin 5: Ground, illumination Circuit
Pin 6: 12 Volts, illumination circuit.

Relay wiring:

pin 85 to ground
pin 86 to 12v input from the switch (pin 4)
Pin 30 12v out to the lights 12v input
Pin 87a 12v in from battery
Pin 87 OPEN/Unused

Hi Rob,
Just two quick questions to clarify:

Pin 2 and 5 can be tied together and run to a common ground, correct?
Same for pin 1 and 3? tied together and go to an switched IGN power source? If you want these to work anytime, can tie them both into a constant 12V source?

Thanks for your help on this and all the other wiring info you provide!
