How's it going guys, first real post here. Just bought a 1999 LX470 in great condition with 147k miles. Got it home detailed it and removed the running boards. I noticed this part that is attached to the frame on the passengers side. Can someone help this novice out and tell me what this is? Doesn't look like it does much of anything to me.

It is one of the following:

A) a "Galvanic Anode", part of the galvanic cathodic protection system, that prevents frame rust.

B) a place to put your beer after you roll the vehicle.

C) a flux capacitor.

D) a vibration damper/dampener.

E) all of the above.

F) none of the above.

I didn't remove mine, I got the matching part for the drivers side, p/n: 5318008

It's a port bow thruster.... Certain year Cruiser's had them on the starboard side as well:doh:
