Read a bunch prior.

Real time help, please.

I removed and replaced the dizzy, but it was running rough.

Secondary tinkering - I rotated to TDC, but I can’t recall if I removed the Dizzy prior, so I think I’m in some random no man’s land.

I’ve since rotated back to 0 TDC a couple times, removing the dizzy and pointing to #1 each time and I’m getting cranks but still no start.

Any help is appreciated… I don’t understand why rotating back to TDC and #1 isn’t getting me running.

Thank you, doh!

Looks like I needed to invoke Murphy’s law. Rotated back to TDC, went back to 1, fired right up.

Thank you!

Most likely you were 180 degrees off. A four stroke engine rotates twice so tdc twice, first time is the end of the compression stroke (when spark occurs), second time at the end of the exhaust stroke. You had the dizzy set to tdc on the exhaust stroke.
Exactly this.
