Still here in Tahoe. Got my new fan clutch in and going to mod it tonight. However... After my wife drove it yesterday, I went to start it and I could here a slight pop, lost seat adjustments, windows and locks. Went to the ONLY auto parts store in N Tahoe, got two replacement fuses and as soon as they make contact they blow - majorly -. I thought that maybe a seat wire got shorted because it was the first time my wife drove it this trip, she needs the seat at the closest and I the farthest. I took the seat out and can't find any fried wires. I'm thinking maybe a wire to the drivers door in between the door and body? Problem is access there is crazy tight. Since I'm on vacation... Limited resources and time, I would love some input. Also... I kinda did a no no. I very briefly wired across the terminals at the fuse block to see if I could tell where a short is. Couldn't tell, but it's drawing MAJOR amps whatever it is, something big has let go I'm thinking... Thoughts of where to look? It would be great to figure it out since I do most of the driving... My legs would appreciate it!

What is the fuse labeled and what box is it in?

It's in fuse block under the steering wheel. 30amp, Iabeled FL POWER. on the lowest right position.

Here's the pages from a 96 EWD for the window circuit. Hopefully it will give you an idea where to look.

Excellent! Thank you! I'll dig into it tomorrow more...

Thanks so much TomH for the schematics. I finally found the culprit. Ended up being a wire under the front passenger seat... Blue wire going into the connector for the seat disconnect rubbed against a seat frame rail... That's all she wrote! Of course it was the last placed I looked... ;)
