Wanted Need ASAP 2f 78 manifold block off plate

finally getting the 40 back running and can’t find a manifold block plate for a 78 (the oval shaped plate with two bolt holes) any help appreciated.

Down next to the exhaust pipe where the EGR siphoned off exhaust gas???

If so, just make you one. Used egr part as a pattern and cut it out from piece of steel.

I made a piece from steel matching the shape and simply welded it to the manifold. That was two years ago, and it still is on there without a problem. Use mild steel to weld and clean the manifold around welding area to clean steel (draw the heat from the manifold to the new piece while you weld)

I emailed Jim. Tried to do so on the forum too but cannot seem to do that anymore, I’ll try calling him tomorrow too. I have very little access to tools and workshop space since my divorce so making one is out of the question. If anyone has one I’ll buy it. Thanks

Bump. Still looking. I’ve called and emailed Jim and some other vendors but so far no reply or luck. Can anyone help me out? Took five months to get my rig in the shop to get the engine back in and this little piece of metal is holding me up big time. Any assistance appreciated.

Actually, I’ve seen those. My 40 is a 78 model and no matter how much chi I harness, I still seem unable to become one with this part!
