No pic but mike said he can install the trailer hitch pin location on the outside, if that is the question that we;re leading to;)

Mike said that the gas struts are standard on the high-clearance bumpers.

I'm leaning towards getting a swing-out RotopaX mount on the ladder. Does anyone have a pic of this? I'm worried about the loss of visibility out the rear (on top of the spare tire)

Non literally on top of the tire... I mean in addition to the already diminished visibility due to the spare tire, the rotopax on the other side may block ??% of the rear window

Mine blocks 0% of the rear window.

Yes and the whole carrier swingout is removable from the ladder. The nice thing about working with mike is that he can create just about anything you want. If you look at yeti's rotopax carrier and mine, they are made differently. I wanted it this way to have a more "conventional" jerry can look. The only downside to this was that the rotopax sticks out rearward beyond the tire.

I just checked out the pics of Yeti's setup, and i like it better your way too, plus you still have the visibility. :)

I mailed my deposit yesterday.

My requests:

-Dual swing-outs
-Ladder w/ Rotopax swingout (4x2gallon, like 3D FJ)
-Hitch pin on outside
-7 pin trailer wiring
-No plating on side wings
-Possible auxilliary light mount (For IPF backup lamp)... has anyone mounted one on top of the ladder or over the tire (additional bracket to stick up over the top of the tire?)?
 
Remember... Mike is also a dealer for rotopax in case you didn't know

Mike mentioned that when I talked to him last week... That's partly why I decided to go that route. Plus they are modular, versatile, and look sweeeeet (at least I think so).
