Looks great! The mount looks especially beefy. I would definitely recommend upgrading the wiring with a larger gauge, but also keeping the factory wire as that will likely be where the voltage gauge and charge indicator light in the dash get power. What is the amperage rating of the new alternator?
The new alternator puts out 110 amps. I'll follow up with part numbers and links.
I'm not really sure how the wiring is supposed to work on these, but I can tell you what I had before, vs what I had now (this is just with respect to the B/POS terminal on the alternator)..
Before I had a white, 8 or maybe 10 gauge wire, going from the battery, through the driver's side firewall and into the cab, feeding the positive bus on the interior fuse box, then continuing back out the firewall on the passenger side, and connecting to both the alternator, and a little accessory fuse-box in the engine bay. That's how it came wired after the engine-swap. I was too oblivious to know what it was doing before the swap.
Today I added a dedicated 4-gauge charge cable from the alternator directly to the battery, and kept the white wire on the battery-side only. So now it looks like this:
So from the battery we have a beefy red cable that never leaves the engine-bay and goes directly to the alternator. Then we also have the "original" 8-gauge white wire, going into the firewall, feeding the interior fuse panel, exiting back out into the enginebay on the passenger side, and feeding that accessory fuse box in the engine-bay.
