Anyone know of a good trim shop that also can wire seat heaters in my 1994 80 series. The PO installed nice replacement leather and I don’t want to mess it up. I recently bought JDM seat heater switches with after market heat pads from a mud member. From all my research the switches plug into unused factory plugs under the center console. The wires under the console then run to unused factory plugs under the seats that were for seat heaters installed in 80’s sold in other countries. Apparently US market never had the option, but the wiring is still there. I need a shop to remove the leather and install the pads then recover. I also will need the wiring under the seat to be modified to accept the aftermarket pads. The wiring is where I need a pro, because some have said diode’s are needed to regulate and others have not mentioned it in the write-ups’ I have read. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Kevin

Only bucket stitch I could find was over by white horse rd and they won't answer the phone. Any one had any dealings with master car stereo on E Washington St?

My wife uses an interior shop called Sherbert & Robbs in Spartanburg. They have been doinf work for her for 3 plus years. I can get their number for you on Tues if you need it. Let me know

Yea, the number would be helpful. I'm pretty sure a lot of these shops could remove the seat covers and install the heating elements. My concern is the wiring of the JDM switches into the wiring harness.

Thanks for your help

Wiring in the seat heaters is not a big deal. I run all my aftermarket electrical through a secondary fuse block. This eliminates any chance of aftermarket electrical damaging the delicate OEM electrical system.

I would run a supply from a secondary fuse block to a relay, use the JDM switch to activate the relay and from there to the heaters.

Maybe I will look into doing a second fuse bank. I'm wanting driving lights and eventually a winch so I guess that could come in handy. But I still need a trim shop to strip the seats! I got no room to work and only a set of basic hand tools.
