Nav system? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking to buy a 2005 GX470. Why does it seem that the ones without navigation are more desirable on this site?

Because you can put in an aftermarket touch screen audio system, no one has figured out how to remove stock nav and replace with an aftermarket system. Stock nav trucks are fine, just not any option to replace with aftermarket if your into that.

I'm not sure if all nav systems come with the Mark Levinson speakers, but if they do, one of the negatives associated with the ML speakers is that they are 8ohms and cannot be easily of inexpensively swapped out.

Sure they can. Options are definitely limited, but they do exist: Best Mod for under $100

Good to know! I knew about the repair kits, but was not aware of the aftermarket speakers at that price point.
