Just wanted to get the princess stuff out of the way. This is so lame, but I cannot figure this out, and it seems like too little of a problem to mention, but I just can't figure this out.

Preface: This morning a heavy frost was in place on my truck when I woke up.

By 9am, all of the frost was gone. 2nd pic shows puddle of water, still dripping, from underneath my 80.

1st pic shows drivers side running board where it meets the body. Water is coming out of the "weep" holes (enlarged/elongated looking voids in the metal pinch weld)

On the other side of this pinch weld, or whatever it is called, are the rubber plugs I've read about to pull after people go through water crossings....I have no sloshing sounds, do not believe I have a large amount of water trapped in there, but obviously do not want water inside the body anywhere or anytime.

I should add that this stopped later today. Noticed the same thing this weekend after I washed it for the 3 step Meguire process.

My floorboards are dry, so that rules out the sunroof drain, right or no?

Where is this coming from? The truck was bone dry on the exterior when pics were took.....

If I'm not mistaken, the sunroof drains there...did you also happen to have some frost/snow on the roof that might have continued to drain?

That would be a relief....After all, where better than through a drain hole right?

It might be my mistake, I did extensive reading here about sunroof drain problems causing the interior to get wet, I may have missed where the water is actually supposed to go.

Top of truck was totally dry, as was the rest of it. It could have been delayed, somewhat I guess, and built up inside that panel, and the exterior dried before all of the water came out.

Is this cavity the same as the one rubber plugs serve?

Yes...if I understand it correctly. I've never had the problem myself and never had to do the plug thing. But I belive the problem some folks have is that the weep holes get plugged up with gunk, then the water starts to back up into the cab. The solution is to pull the plugs to let the water out of the plug holes instead of the designed weep holes.

The front sunroof drains empty into the rocker cavities on purpose. Worry when you don't see that.

what I have seen too, but isn't that weird? you'd think they would have the drain tube end up outside of the panels! what is that all about for a design?

Call Tokyo and ask....:D
