I ordered a main rear seal from my FJ60 and I got a package with a seal and extra small part.
does anyone know what it is and where it is go why it is on the same package

Since it's not a Toyota part, that little thing could be anything. Do you really want to use an aftermarket rear main seal?
(At least the plastic bag the RMS is in doesn't look like a typical Toyota part bag).

lol I did use it and it is leaking now, I was thinking that I did not install the mystery seal .

Did you ask the vendor who you got the seal from? It looks like it might be an oil drain plug fiber washer seal. Do you have to drain the oil to replace the rear main?
