After looking through the FSM and reading several promising threads here, I'm still at wits' end. Any input is greatly appreciated.
My 62 stalled at the intersection. It would restart but would stall again when put into gear. I could give it plenty of fuel while in Park or Neutral without stalling but would stall again when putting it into drive or reverse. Several others have reported similar issues but what seems to make mine different is it also stalls when under load (turning on headlights or tapping break). Also, headlights and tail lights are barely on and dim at all times when switched off.
I tried troubleshooting everything I could but frustrated, I eventually started chasing parts.
Visually checked for vacuum leaks, wires, and bad grounds.
Replaced throttle position sensor
Replaced fuel pressure regulator
Circuit opening relay, Denso 567-0036
Removed and had the alternator tested the Alternator is around 13.5v no load with 14.3v underload
Please help before I get stupider. Thank you
