Hey guys, hopefully someone can identify this noise that’s driving me insane!! I’ve attached a short video clip where you can hear it clunk/clank twice. I hear the noise randomly all the time. It happens when braking, not braking, turning, going straight, over little imperfections, over big imperfections, taking off from a stop, coming to a stop, and at all speeds. I have a dobinsons ims 2.5” lift and Ironman uca’s. Within the last 10k miles I’ve replaced a lot of the front suspension with all OEM, including LCA’s, inner/outer tie rods, rotors, pads, shims, caliper pins, retaining clips, sway bar bushings/links, Blue Pit wheel bearings, and changed transfer case/diff fluids. Also CVJ driver side cv shaft 15k miles ago. I removed sway bar and links along with skid plate to eliminate them causing the sound, no change. The previous owner never heard of a grease gun, you could see that a grease coupler had never touched the zero’s. I know it’s not the clunk from the rear slip yoke, but maybe the u joints on the front driveshaft? Please help . I love this thing, but it’s starting to sketch me out. Thanks

Might be missing the brake pad anti rattle. The pad are a bit loose and can slap back and forth a bit without the anti rattle spring.

Thanks for the reply but I just changed the brakes yesterday and it did it before and unfortunately still does it.

Mine has been doing that the entire time I've owned it. I finally gave up trying to figure out what it was and just live with it. It seems to come from the DS caliper despite everything there being new.

FYI if the PO did not grease things well, it's not uncommon for the front and rear driveshaft slip yolks to require a LOT of grease. Like 30+ pumps until it gets hard to add more or it starts seeping past the yolk. So I'd pump away on your slip yolks.

Damn, that sucks! It sounds like something’s about to break.

The driveshaft zerks still had the black paint covering them so I don’t think they were ever greased. I had to spray penetrating oil on the slip yokes cause they were rusted/seized up. I think I’ll remove them and take them apart to clean and regrease. Thanks
