The hose from the air cleaner to the grill was very tired. So I fixed it. But I was running out of duct tape so I had this brilliant idea. I would take the stock intake pipe that came off my daughters '02 TJ 4.0l when we put a cold air intake on that and marry it to pieces parts of the Toy hose.

Well, that didn't work exactly 'cause the Toy bits were too big, rotten and bendy, but I did cut the 's' bend off the end of the Jeep part and it hooked t'other end right on to the airhorn. Doesn't go through the hole in the front but I reckon that since it's sucking and the air from the front of the rig is blowing, it's all good, eh?

Seems to run better but I changed other stuff so who knows. Beats the massive wad of duct tape anyway, eh?

Oh, yeah. My cousin Mikey has already busted my chops about a Jeep part on an Elsie, so get over it. Really.

As the owner of both a Jheap and LC, I tend not to think of it as bringing the LC down by putting a Jeep part on it, but more as bettering the Jeep part by allowing it to become part of the awesomeness that is Land Cruiser.

I'm digging the use of the wine cork too.

Wow

I hope you patented that before posting the picture, otherwise...

And, by the way, nice use of a wine cork.

Of course and thanks.
My wife used to say I was a pack rat and I should get rid of all that junk.
I said, What junk? All I see is inventory.

Incidentally the shaft from an FJ55 Idler arm makes a great flaring tool for fairly large pipe.

Further evidence that the phrase, "it just has to work" is the Cruiser mantra. Now for my confession; I "elevated" some Jeep fender flares by attaching part of them to the front fenders of my 60. I think they are better for it.

Well nuts, aluminum brackets and stainless fasteners. Come take a look next time you're around.

sorry for the hijack.......

will do..I drive by your place on the way to the grocery store all the time.

Hmm. Pic? What model of Jeep? I've got 2.5" backspace wheels and some flares would not only cut down on mudslinging but some black ones on my tan LC would look bitchen.
