Well, I sold my running boards on eBay last week. Stupid me, I did not include a reserve price and was being lazy and did not want to ship. So, with those conditions, all I got was $25. Deal of the day for the buyer. But at least they are not crowding up my garage any more. I suppose I could have backed out, but I believe in sticking to a deal.

Anyway, the buyer sends his nephew to pick them up. This little cambodian kid shows up driving a M5 with fake exhaust (cheap bling) sticking out the rear quarter panels (he admitted they were for looks only--rest of car seemed like a legit M5).

His uncle buys LX's, "updates" them with newer parts, badges, grills, headlights, etc. and then ships them to Cambodia for sale.

I wonder how much he gets for them in Cambodia.

$25 closer to slee sliders ? :D

At least you didn't have to pay the kid $25 to take them off of your hands. :D

When I was in N. Thailand a few years ago (rented a car, did a 1200 mi roadtrip), I stopped by a Toyota dealer in one rural town. No LC's on the lot, only hilux surfs and tiger crew cab pickups, all TD's. Anyways, I got the price for a new LC....$50K USD!!!! Considering how little their annual incomes are, it would be like Americans paying $300K for a LC. In 3 weeks, I only saw one LC 100...at the Bangkok airport parking lot.

Why should a cruiser be any cheaper in Thailand than anywhere else? I suppose they could be cheaper in Japan since they're not subject to import duties and shipping costs...
