I went to adjust my valves in the '60.. found a bead of antifreeze in a little crater of sludge on an otherwise clean head... I've really never had any overheat issues or signs of coolant in the oil. It is a slight seep but enough it makes me uncomfortable taking on a rough, long and hot trail. It's been a super trouble free and reliable rig.. Strike one.
My Driver '80 has always had a knock on start up but it quieted down once it warmed up, it got a little louder and constant after a 300 mile trek over to the coast last weekend and leaks oil bad. Strike Two.
The Cabin fever '80 is running but has no seats in it (no uphulstery on them), hasn't been driven other than out of the garage and is in pieces. It just had the HG replaced amongst other little items.. Never drove it before the HG job as it was NF when I got it... Strike Three?
Of course I work everyday this week except Friday after having weeks with one or two days of work..
Hmm, bars leaks, power punch or get to work and hope 'fever holds up.. I don't think ditching the fam' and riding my motorcycle or bumming a ride would go over real well. I'll do my best to get down to camp but don't think I'll run the trail..
