I’m heading out on business tomorrow morning and as I am loading up the truck I notice a puddle of oily mystery fluid on the garage floor. I immediately start to blame the Toyota dealer as I had my oil changed 3 weeks ago, so I drop the access panel on the skid plate to take a peek. No oil there, so then I look to the front crash bar and see the same fluid dripping down….hmmmm
So I pop the hood and see puddles of the fluid on the front plastic shroud. That fluid is dripping down from the hood latch to the bumper crash bar and on the floor.
Annnnddd then I remember that I had my truck sprayed with wool wax/fluid film in October of last year and it had been 90 degrees here for the past 5 days. So I conclude my mystery fluid is wool wax that was sprayed in the hood panel that is leeching out the front holes, on to the shroud and on the floor. Whew.
