My new "vise"

Had a customer give me this old book press the other day; I'll be using it like a vise. It's solid cast iron, not sure how old it is but it's certainly stout--like 500-600lbs. I cleaned it up and painted it with some hammered black to keep the rust away since it'll be sitting under my carport.

Just seen this, Nice! Very unique. It deserves to have a place in the shop.

Reminds me of an old lumberjack saw blade vise/filer. I like it. Very unique.
