Hey guys,

My name is Brian. I am friends with a few of you in the club. I used to be a member back when I lived in SC. At the time, I had a two tone fj62 that I took on a couple Cullowhee runs. I then got a red FJ80 and moved to Massachusetts for school. Well, we just moved to Texas and before we moved I sold my FJ80 to another guy on mud. I've been looking for a new ride for a couple weeks and found this one. JP wanted to see some pics, so these are for you JP.

Its a 1996 4runner (yes, we are now a 2 4runner family). Now the body needs some paint, but the PO spent a good bit on aftermarket parts. Here's the run down: Sonoran steel lift (its got 80 springs in the back), bud built full skid plate, rocky road sliders, ARB front bumper, warn winch, optima battery, fairly new 285/75R16 Michelins, and a manual hub conversion from Off road solutions.

Looks good Brian. Can't wait to see it in the NM desert to start the trip next June.

Awesome Brian! That thing has some serious lift in the rear. I echo Richards sentiments.... can't wait to see it tearing through the New Mexico Desert on its way to the Canadian border, B2B or bust

What is the plan for now? Super jealous of those free wheeling front hubs!

plan for now is to get rid of the holes on the side where the PO took off all the limited trim. I am thinking truck bed liner... Also, i need to get some paint on the hood and roof before it starts to rust. I also want to get a rear bumper if i can find one for a good price. other than that, i think i am just going to run it for a while and see how it goes. I may try to get some more stuff on it before the trip, but that is down the road a bit.

Nice. It's very clean for a 18-19 year old vehicle.

Good to see you got a 3rd gen. One of my all time best vehicles. Be sure to keep up with timing belt changes and it will run forever.
