This just became one of my favorite 80 series on MUD.

Maybe some day...

One thing I have never liked about chopped 80's is that no one really "finishes" the tailgate. It just never looked right with a tailgate shorter than the sides of the "bed." Kind of like a Honda Ridgeline. I was very happy to see how you did this one, it is exactly how I would do the tailgate if I ever chopped mine. Your fab guy did an excellent job!

Agree with all said above, that looks absolutely fantastic. Wonder how much that would cost do have done?

thanks guys! hopeing to have the truck all finished up in the next couple of weeks!

96beast: my mate said if he was to do it again for somebody they wouldnt have much change from 20g!

That is the best looking 80 I've seen...wow.

That is cool. I can imagine the comments at the gas station as you are filling it up. "Hey, what is that thing?"

word!!

Wow...that's all I have to say...very awesome build and seems like high quality work!

Oh my...

I've been looking for this thread! Love your build. Do you have any close up pics of how you did the top of the tailgate? I'm trying to figure out how you made it so square and flat? Also, what did you use for the latch assembly?

How the Tundra should have been made... !! Very nice work!

AMAZING WORK MATE :bounce:
