Update?

Waiting on the condenser. Should be in on Thursday then I should be done with the mechanicals.

Then onto the armoring of the cruiser.

The condenser is on and all is put together like it should be. The drier is a bitch to put on. The lines are situated so that when you put the lines on there is no space to tighten them. It is tough. I'm going to get it vacuumed down and charged tomorrow morning by a pro. Hopefully I'll have AC tomorrow.

+1, hope you get it all sorted out. It's gotta be rough without AC these past few days. I'd be keeping that Yeti in there loaded with water and gatorade ;)

Yeti and refreshing beverages, haha

Haha...wow!! Ingenuity!

That, and designing x-ray equipment for a living has its perks ;). I can't imagine any doctor letting you do that. Maybe a veterinarian would...

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread... sorry for the threadjack.

That looks like a pretty bad ass idea.

I have AC now. It all works like it should and is cold as ice. And doing without AC sucked.

I was wondering how he was going to X-ray it...aerospace Industry was my first guess, we have flight controls xray inspected

Well so far so good for the most part. I have noticed that the AC cuts out at a light occasionally and this does have me concerned. I don't believe it's an overheating issue because it is immediately upon stopping and even on a cooler rainy day on a flat surface.

I think it is the pressure goes too high and trips the high pressure switch and it cuts off. When they charged it I saw it go over 1.9 lbs on the Robinair monitor and it should have 1.8 or so. So I think it is overcharged and this is leading the pressures to go too high a little bit and cut out. Does this sound pretty plausible?

I'm going to follow EPA guidelines and bleed the system for about 8-10 seconds and watch the sight glass. It is supposed to show some bubbles for a few seconds after it is shut off. Right now there are no bubbles in the glass and it is running clear and strong as well.

Any thoughts?

Very cool!

I don't think I've got the window sticker from "red truck"

And $600 worth of gold!

Mine has the gold package too.
No way I would have paid for those gold emblems. I would have told them to take them off and just leave blanks!
